From a Brother to a Saint!

Last weekend, I had gone out east to Montreal to celebrate the canonization of Brother André, founder of St. Joseph’s Oratory. In my “youthful” days, my family and relatives would make trips to Montreal for the sole purpose of visiting St. Joseph’s Oratory. By visiting this magnificent church, we truly received special graces (although, honestly, as a youth without understanding that, we would tag along grudgingly awaiting the moment that we’d go to eat some St. Hubert’s)! Now, knowing that there’s another saint engulfed in God’s presence who can intercede for our prayers, brings me much joy and comfort. Having traveled with our church (the Catholic Chaplaincy at York University), made the experience even more enjoyable.

The last time I was there was three years ago for a friend’s wedding and it’s quite like I had left it! What I love about Montreal is its bilingualism, the freshness of the foods (aside from poutine and BeaverTails) and the antiquity of Old Montreal. This visit was pretty chill so I made the most of it with my picture taking. Hope you enjoy these pix!
